Fed: Costello unveils optional changes to BAS

Up to 92 per cent of Australian businesses will be able to simplify the way they
work out their GST compliance after changes announced by the federal government today.

Treasurer PETER COSTELLO announced the changes to the Business Activity Statements,
and says a business with a turnover of less than $2 million would now have the option
of lodging the statements only once a year.
