KUALA LUMPUR (FNS)--Malaysia isn't a major foreign manufacturing spot for US-bound apparel. It drags behind other Far East producers such as Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan and Indonesia. Aware that its garment industry has a poor infrastructure, local manufacturers are pushing the government to pump in money so they can pump out more shirts, slacks and skirts.
